This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) supplements our Terms of Use. By using the platform you agree to this AUP. Breach may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.
1. Don't do illegal stuff
You may not use the platform to facilitate any activity that breaches Australian law, the law of any country you operate from, or the law of any country your counterparty operates from. This includes but is not limited to:
- Manufacturing of firearms, firearm components or firearm accessories regulated by the Firearms Act of your state or territory;
- Manufacturing of items intended primarily for the production of illegal narcotics;
- Counterfeiting of currency, identification documents or branded goods;
- Manufacturing or facilitating the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction or their precursors;
- Tax evasion, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or financing of terrorism.
We will report serious breaches to the appropriate authorities.
2. Don't infringe other people's rights
- Don't upload designs you don't own or have permission to use;
- Don't post work-for-hire requests for the manufacture of items you don't have the right to commission;
- Don't reverse engineer a competitor's product and post it for fabrication without their authorisation;
- Don't impersonate any person, company or organisation.
We comply with Australian intellectual property law and will respond to credible takedown requests under the Copyright Act and Trade Marks Act.
3. Don't harm other users
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or sexually explicit content in messages, request titles, descriptions, file names, profile fields, or any other content surface;
- No deceptive practices such as fake bids designed to manipulate the market, fake reviews, shill accounts, or bait-and-switch quoting;
- No mass-unsolicited messaging or marketing through the platform to users you have no marketplace relationship with;
- No deliberate underbidding with intent to abandon the job after acceptance;
- No bypassing the platform's escrow flow with the intent of avoiding the platform fee.
4. Don't damage the platform
- Don't scan, probe or test the vulnerability of the platform without our express written consent (we welcome responsible disclosure; email solutions@cnc3d.com.au first);
- Don't upload malware, viruses, worms or other harmful code;
- Don't mass-scrape, mass-download or otherwise extract data from the platform other than via APIs we expressly publish;
- Don't attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server, network or data;
- Don't use the platform's resources to mine cryptocurrency, run a botnet, or otherwise consume disproportionate compute or bandwidth.
5. Capability claims must be honest
When you set capability tags on your account or claim machinery, certifications, insurance, lead times or location in your bids, you are making a representation that buyers rely on. Don't lie. We may suspend accounts found to have materially misrepresented their capabilities, and we may revoke completed marketplace fee credits in such cases.
6. NDA obligations are real
If you sign an NDA to gain access to a buyer's files, you are entering into a legally binding agreement directly with that buyer. We facilitate the signature but the obligations run between you and them. Breach of NDA may result in suspension on our platform AND legal action by the buyer. Don't share NDA-gated files, don't store them after the engagement ends, don't use them for any purpose other than quoting and (if awarded) fabricating.
7. Enforcement
We may take any of the following actions in response to a suspected breach of this AUP:
- Issue a warning;
- Remove specific content;
- Restrict your account's ability to post, bid, message or sign in;
- Suspend or terminate the account;
- Freeze pending escrow releases until the matter is resolved;
- Refer the matter to law enforcement;
- Pursue legal action to recover damages.
We don't owe you advance notice for serious breaches. Lesser breaches we'll usually warn about first.
8. Reporting abuse
Saw something on the platform that breaches this AUP? Email solutions@cnc3d.com.au with “AUP report” in the subject line, the URL or reference of the offending content, and a short description. We investigate every report.
