FAQ
Do I have to pay to post a job on the marketplace?
No. As a buyer, posting quote requests is free. There's no subscription required and no platform fee on top of the bid you accept. Fabricators bake our cut into their pricing, so the number you see is the number you pay.
Do I have to pay to browse or bid on jobs?
Yes, but it's on the entry tier. Browsing open requests AND bidding on them as a fabricator both require Business ($50/month AUD). That covers Stripe Connect payouts on accepted bids too, so accepted work goes straight into your bank. The entry tier is deliberately priced to make the marketplace pay for itself the first job you win. Posting your OWN requests as a buyer stays free regardless of plan.
What's the difference between Business and Business Plus?
Business ($50/month AUD)is for the local one-person shop: stock, suppliers, basic jobs and clients, the estimates / quote builder to send proper quotes to your customers, AND the marketplace so you can win paid work. Single user. You don't need to clock yourself in. Business Plus ($150/month AUD)is for shops with staff. Adds clock-in / clock-out with lunch breaks, per-staff timesheets and hours export, multi-user team with roles, equipment register, branded invoicing + Stripe payments, billable time tracking, and MYOB / Xero sync. If you've got even one employee, you want Plus.
Can I start on Business and upgrade to Plus later?
Yes. Anytime, from the Settings page. You only pay the difference for the rest of the billing period. Downgrade works the same way. Change takes effect at the next renewal.
How does the 14-day free trial work?
Sign up, pick Business or Business Plus, add a card on file. You're not billed until day 15. Cancel anytime in that window and you pay nothing.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Anytime. You keep access through the end of the billing period you've paid for. After that, your account drops back to the free My CNC3D tier. Your jobs, clients, stock and invoices stay intact and read-only. Re-subscribe and they're back.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card payments via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX). Australian customers can use direct debit. Marketplace escrow runs on Stripe Connect.
Are there per-user fees on Business Plus?
No. $150 / month per org, unlimited team members.
What if my customers want to pay me through your invoicing?
Stripe processing fee applies on the customer card payment (1.75% + 30c for AU cards as of 2026, set by Stripe). We don't add anything on top. You receive the rest.
Is there a free trial for My CNC3D?
My CNC3D itself is permanently free. No trial because there's nothing to trial. Sign up and use it forever.
What's Priority Support and do I need it?
Two different things, and the split matters. Help using the CNC3D Business platform is free for every account, including the free tier: the website, the marketplace, estimates, jobs, all of it. Just contact us. Priority Support is a separate paid service for the machine side of your shop: CNC3D Commander, the CNC3D Design Suite, controllers and connected machines, and associated CAD / CAM software. Direct phone, fast-tracked email, and remote assistance, straight to the engineers who built it. Anyone can buy credits in 60-minute blocks at $120 AUD / hour from your dashboard, on any plan or none. Balance is debited by the minute as you use it, so a 12-minute call costs 12 minutes off your balance. Warranty issues on CNC3D hardware stay free via the standard warranty process.
